One thing to know when planning your stay is that Puerto Rico does not have all-inclusive resorts. However, there are many family-friendly hotels and resorts that offer great amenities and make traveling with kids comfortable and enjoyable.

Wyndham Grand Rio Mar: Family-friendly pools, water slide, beach access, restaurants. The hotel is close to Carabali Park.

Conquistador Resort: Pools, arcade, restaurants, waterpark (extra cost), private beach via ferry. Beach is not within walking distance.

Isla Verde / Carolina Favorites:

  • Embassy Suites by Hilton – family-friendly, pool & beach access
  • Royal Sonesta – lively nightlife on weekends, pool & beach access

  • Best Time to Go: Year-round weather, but summers can be hot. November–December is ideal for families. Check hurricane forecasts (June–November).
  • What to Pack: Sunglasses, sunscreen, water shoes, bug spray, tropical clothing, lightweight layers, sweater/jeans for cooler evenings.
  • Transportation: Renting a car is recommended; taxis can be expensive.
